So after what feels like forever, Wolf's Hunt is finally on submission, and I'm patiently waiting to hear back. Well, mostly patiently. My publisher has a six-week turn around on submissions, and I'm not even at one week yet and I'm already panicking. This is not normal behaviour and I do not encourage it. Nor can I help it.
But obviously I can't sit around doing nothing but wringing my hands for the next six weeks, so it's onto the next project. And it's the sequel to WAKING THE LIONESS, tentatively titled The Lion's Den. When I first wrote WAKING THE LIONESS, way back in 2011, I always intended it to be the first of a series. But other stuff got in the way and I never got round to writing more stories. Now the original story has a new lease of life, I'm keen to dig back into the world of Malkin Ridge and the shapeshifters who live there. It's clear to me now that Lara, Tate, and Zane have more stories to tell, and The Lion's Den will follow straight on from WAKING THE LIONESS, as well as hopefully set up a couple more stories focusing on different characters.
I love writing shapeshifters, and although I'm not that far into The Lion's Den yet, I'm excited about how the story will spin out. This is definitely the best way to keep my brain in check while I wait for news on Wolf's Hunt!
