I think I'll finish Wolf's Hunt this week. I don't really want to commit, because I thought I was going to finish it in November, and then in December, and then in January...But February is really looking good! Part of the delay has just been that this book is...well, a book. TANNER'S WAR is a novella around the 30k mark and when I started Wild Blood 2, I had no reason to think it would be any longer. But Wolf's Hunt is currently sitting at 63k and I still have a fair bit of wrapping up to do.
And then of course I'll need to give it a thorough going-over before it's ready to submit, but I feel confident that by the end of February, Wolf's Hunt will be in my publisher's hands. Huzzahs! I'm loving writing this book, but I'm also really eager to move onto the next project. Wild Blood 3 is slowly taking shape in my head, and Wolf's Hunt has left the door open for a spin-off. I also want to write a sequel to WAKING THE LIONESS. And I've got a couple of thousand words down on a dark mafia-ish romance called The Last Sin that could be both a lot of fun and a big challenge to write.
But that's all still in the future right now, since being almost finished isn't anywhere near close enough. Wish me luck in actually finishing this time!
