Get ready for Mr Red!

I'm always excited to be able to say I've signed a publishing contract, but I'm extra excited for this one. MR RED is a totally new genre for me - a dark romance with a Mafia flavour - and I was very nervous both in writing it and submitting it. I like to experiment with genres that I love to read but haven't yet written whilst writing as Amber, but I always have a little voice in my head saying maybe you haven't written this yet because it'll be bad.

Yeah, that inner critic is a bitch. But I had to push it aside for this story, because the story absolutely demanded to be written. My usual daily output is around 1-2k a day. My daily output for MR RED was 4-5k a day. When a story is coming out of you that fast, you have to have faith in it. And edit it thoroughly, of course, just to keep the inner critic happy.
